Mitsubishi Motors announces delivery of 26 vehicles to the Davao City Police as part of the Philippine’s economic and social development program.
January 15, 2018 – Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has today announced the delivery of 26 new Mitsubishi Montero Sport units to the Davao City Police,
The delivery of the new vehicles has been marked by a ceremony at the Regional Crime Laboratory Office 11, attended by Philippine President, Rodrigo Roa Duterte, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr. Koji Haneda and Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Director General, Ronald Dela Rosa.
The vehicles are being supplied as part of an agreement between Japan International Cooperation System (JICS) and Sojitz Corporation under Japan’s Grant Aid program. This aims to contribute to the safety and socioeconomic development in the Philippines, through the provision of local and public counterterrorism and safety-related equipment.

In November 2017, 40 new units of Mitsubishi Montero Sport were also turned over to the Philippine National Police Headquarters in Camp Crame.
