Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) recently hosted a 4×4 clinic and a test drive event to the motoring media, The Strada Club Pilipinas (TSCP) and the Montero Sport Club of the Philippines (MSCP). Dubbed as the Mitsubishi 4×4 Camp, MMPC invited the legendary two-time Paris Dakar Champion, Mr. Hiroshi Masuoka to share his techniques and driving expertise to the group.
The Mitsubishi 4×4 Camp was held in Tarlac Recreational Park located in San Jose, Tarlac. The all- new Montero Sport and the new Strada GT were the star during this weekend camp of fun and driving. The venue provided perfect facilities to test the vehicles to the extremes and on both off-road and on-road driving scenarios. Hiroshi Masuoka demonstrated the power and the class-leading features of the all new Montero Sport and the Strada GT thru a driving exhibition at the off-road track as well as in the circuit. The club members and the media participants were also given the opportunity to test the drive the new models and to feel the power of the 4N15 MIVEC Clean Diesel engine after the lecture. An exhibition by Dr. Drift himself, Odel Sison, also added excitement to the event as he drifted a specially set-up all-new Montero Sport around the circuit.
After a day of full pack driving and learning 4×4 techniques from the expert himself, Hiroshi Masuoka, all the participants were very impressed of these two models that MMPC is offering. The participants enjoyed the activities most specially their taxi ride with Hiroshi Masuoka. MMPC executives emphasized that apart from demonstrating the superb features of the all-new Montero Sport and the Strada GT, MMPC organized the event to gather clubs and media to express to them the company’s sincere appreciation for their loyalty and support.
